Description

PR6425/010-100+CON011 Emerson Sensor

PR6425/010-100+CON011 is a complete monitoring component of eddy current sensors and preamplifiers launched by EPRO (now Emerson) in Germany. It is designed for measuring shaft vibration and displacement of rotating machinery and is widely used in the turbine monitoring and protection systems MMS 3000 and MMS 6000.

PR6425/010-100 is an eddy current sensor probe belonging to the PR642 series, which adopts the non-contact eddy current measurement principle. The measurement range is static ± 2.0 millimeters, with a sensitivity of 4V/mm (± 2.0% maximum), and a linear error of ≤ 6.0% when paired with the CON011 preamplifier. The probe material is 303S stainless steel, with a protection level of IP65/IP67, a working temperature range of -35 ℃ to+380 ℃, and can withstand a short-term temperature resistance of up to 400 ℃. The tested shaft diameter is required to be ≥ 80 millimeters, with a 4-meter connecting cable. Linear calibration has been completed using 42CrMo4 steel (according to SAE 4140 standard) at the factory, and only the air gap needs to be adjusted on site for use, without the need for recalibration. The probe weighs approximately 500 grams (including cables) and is installed using two fastening nuts.

CON011 is a preamplifier (signal converter) that is compatible with it, model 9200-00001, with a protection level of IP67, and is connected to the sensor through a LEMO plug. The power supply voltage is -24V DC, and the output is a DC voltage plus an AC voltage signal proportional to the shaft vibration. The linear output range is -4V to -20V, and the maximum output range is -1V to -22V. The output internal resistance is 100k Ω, and the response time is 15 microseconds. Equipped with open circuit protection, short circuit protection, and reverse protection functions. The zero point of the temperature drift is 200mV/100K, the sensitivity drift is less than 2%/100K, the maximum time drift is 0.3%, and the power supply voltage error is less than 0.2%/V. The working temperature range is -30 ℃ to+100 ℃, and the weight is about 600 grams. After installing safety barriers, it can be used in explosion-proof environments and meets the Eex ib IIC T6/T4 explosion-proof rating and EN 50020 standard.

The measurable physical quantities of the entire set of components include axial and radial shaft displacement, shaft eccentricity, shaft vibration, bearing wear, oil film thickness, differential expansion, etc. Compliant with international standards such as API 670, DIN 45670, ISO 10817-1, etc. Typical applications cover the status monitoring and fault diagnosis of various rotating machinery such as steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, generators, blowers, gearboxes, centrifuges, pumps, etc. It is suitable for networked monitoring of large equipment in power plants, refineries, and chemical plants, as well as independent monitoring scenarios for small turbines with fewer measurement points.

One sentence summary: PR6425/010-100+CON011 is an EPRO ± 2mm range eddy current sensor with IP67 preamplifier kit. It has a core of 4V/mm sensitivity, -35 to 380 ℃ wide temperature adaptation, CON011-4 to -20V standard output, and MMS 3000/6000 system deep compatibility. It is a mature solution for monitoring the vibration and displacement of steam turbine and rotating machinery shafts, taking into account both accuracy and environmental reliability.
