Description
S20260-SRS Kollmorgen AC Servo Controller S200 Series
Kollmorgen S20260-SRS is a high-performance compact brushless AC servo drive launched by Kollmorgen, a US-based company now part of the Danaher Group. It belongs to the S200 series product line, specifically designed for low-power applications, delivering rich control options in an extremely small form factor without sacrificing performance. It is an ideal drive solution for industries such as medical equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, packaging machinery, electronic assembly, tire production, and optoelectronics.

Regarding core technical specifications, the S20260-SRS is a digital servo amplifier with a rated continuous current of 1.5 amperes and a peak current of up to 4.5 amperes. It supports 120V AC or 240V AC input voltage, selectable across all current ratings. The drive has a 12.0 ampere RMS continuous current and 8.0 ampere RMS convection rating at 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Under three-phase 240V AC power, the drive can deliver up to 10000 VA output power per second, and under single-phase 240V AC it delivers 8000 VA, with a maximum supported AC line voltage of 250 kVA. The drive incorporates advanced digital signal processor DSP technology with high-speed data processing and computing capabilities, enabling high-precision speed and position control. The speed loop bandwidth reaches up to 800 Hz, and it is equipped with a 24-bit high-resolution feedback system to ensure smooth motion and fast response. The drive comes factory-installed with a SynqNet option card featuring a standard RJ45 connector, supporting mainstream industrial Ethernet communication protocols including EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET. Users can simply switch parameters to adapt to the selected fieldbus type. It also supports EtherCAT, CIP Sync, or PROFINET IRT synchronization functions for multi-axis synchronized motion control. In terms of functional safety, it integrates dual-channel STO safe torque off function, compliant with SIL2/Cat 3 PL d standards, supporting emergency stop and preventing unexpected system restart to effectively protect personnel and equipment. The drive also features a USB-C service port for configuration and diagnostics, and includes an intelligent electronic motor nameplate feedback device supporting plug-and-play commissioning, allowing quick startup in most applications without complex parameter settings.
Regarding installation and usage, the S20260-SRS adopts a modular slot design with hot-swap capability, greatly reducing system downtime during maintenance. The drive can be easily configured through the Express Setup function in Kollmorgen WorkBench software, allowing even engineers with limited motion control experience to complete setup, configuration, and tuning with ease. The drive protection class is IP20 and must be installed inside a standard control cabinet.
The S20260-SRS series also includes multiple models such as S21260-SRS with 12 amperes continuous current, S20360-SRS, S22460-SRS, S20330-SRS, and S20660-SRS, covering a wide range of applications from low-power to medium-high power. The S20260-CNS is another configuration version in the same series, also a digital servo amplifier with 1.5 to 4.5 amperes and 120V to 240V AC input.
With its small yet powerful characteristics, the S20260-SRS serves as a core drive component for rotary and linear motion systems in high-end industrial automation fields such as semiconductor manufacturing, medical devices, precision packaging, and electronic assembly. Its compact structure, excellent control precision, rich communication protocol support, and comprehensive safety functions help users achieve a full upgrade from traditional control to intelligent predictive maintenance.
