【 Positioning 】
The 14 channel analog output module (AO) is responsible for converting the digital signals of the control system into 4-20mA or 0-10V standard analog signals, driving field devices such as regulating valves, frequency converters, and actuators. It is one of the most core output modules in DCS systems.

Some suppliers online label SPASO11 as an “analog input submodule”, which is completely inconsistent with ABB’s official definition. From the cross validation of multiple industrial control channels, SPASO11 is clearly a 14 channel analog output module (AO), not an input module. If you are doing project selection or fault replacement, it is recommended to confirm whether the system is Symphony Plus or 800xA DCS platform, which is the key to determining whether the model is compatible.
