Description
ABB 216NG62A HESG441634R1 Product Introduction
One sentence positioning: This is the auxiliary DC power supply device in the ABB REG 216 protection system, responsible for converting the power station battery voltage to 24V DC and supplying power to the electronic circuits of all electronic units and I/O modules in the rack.
Product type: Auxiliary DC Supply Unit
System: ABB REG 216 Protection System
Rack model: 216MB62
Part number: 216NG62A is the main model, HESG441634R1/K or HESG441634R1/F is the part number version, and HESG216876 is the associated number

ABB 216NG62A HESG441634R1
Core functions:
Step down the battery voltage (UB) of the power station to 24V DC, providing electrical isolation between input and output
Distribute 24V power to all units inserted into the protective equipment rack through the B448C parallel bus
Simultaneously supplying power to the electronic circuits on the I/O unit
Output short circuit and overload protection
Support redundant parallel configuration (up to 2 outputs)
Input voltage specification (unique to 216NG62):
Applicable battery voltage: 110/125 V DC ± 25%
Actual input range: 82.5~156 V DC
Comparison: 216NG61 corresponds to 48/60V DC (36~75V), 216NG63 corresponds to 220/250V DC (165~312.5V)
Output specifications:
Output voltage: 24V DC
Output power: 150W
Physics and Installation:
Installation method: Plug in, insert 216MB62 equipment rack from the front
Occupation space: 3 rack partitions
Redundant configuration: Each rack can accommodate 1 or up to 2 redundant power units, and both redundant units must be switched on and off simultaneously
Not supporting hot standby, but supporting online replacement of faulty modules
System architecture description:
The REG 216 protection system consists of 216MB62 electronic equipment racks, with electronic modules inserted from the front in the form of plug-in units. The communication between various electronic units is achieved at the rear of the rack through the B448C parallel bus. There are also standard cable interfaces at the rear to connect I/O units, as well as auxiliary relay I/O and trip relay units installed on the inside of the protective cabinet rear panel.
Typical application scenarios:
Process protection control systems for industries such as power plants, steel mills, oil and gas, petrochemicals, papermaking, cement, and ships.
Current status: This model belongs to the REG 216 series spare parts, which are circulating in the market in the form of inventory spare parts and are gradually being replaced. If necessary, it is recommended to confirm compatibility with the existing REG 216 controller and rack.
